Former Joe Pride runner that ran some nice races down south before heading up to the Brenton Andrew stable. First up for the new stable last start, acquitted himself well beaten 2.4L into 2nd this track / distance. Travelled nicely in the run just off of a fast speed and found some trouble at the turn before going to the line strongly enough in a race with solid figures and good margins. That was a nice run from a horse that generally doesn’t go well first up. Here looks to find a winnable race – couldn’t be with the favourite Dream Song at the current quote – and maps nicely from barrier 5. Has a history of improving sharply 2nd up and though the Brenton Andrews stable aren’t any world beaters they tend to go well at this level of meeting and particularly at Ipswich. Does have to carry 60kg but has run well with that weight before.
