Think this horse ran really well last start over a mile at Doomben. The rail was out 10m that day and was a red-hot leaders track. Settled well off the speed and had to come well off the fence late and went to the line strongly to finish third beaten two lengths in a high rating race. The Irons ran second and has franked the form with a good run at Toowoomba on Saturday night when very narrowly beaten. Prior to that was far from disgraced in a Saturday metro mile race when went around as a 40s shot. Here gets back to a more suitable grade, gets a nicer draw and despite going back in grade with the 3kg claim from Angela Jones actually drops in weight slightly. Angela Jones is not the worst jockey going around but is 0/17 at Ipswich so that makes me slightly nervous here. Brenton Andrew horses do tend to do very well at Ipswich though and I think the market is under rating how good the run was last start.
