Taking a little bit of a risk here as this is a negative trainer change coming from the Phillip Stokes stables to Peter Quinlan – who hasn’t had a runner before as far as I can tell. The form coming out of SA for this horse looks good enough for this however, and I was very taken with the trial leading up to this. So much so that I am willing to ignore the wide draw and the no-name trainer to be on here. Wouldn’t surprise me if this horse drifted but I am happy to take that risk – wouldn’t advise against splitting your stake between early and late if you were so inclined.
