The Longshots Report is your guide to high-priced golfers that can earn us profits in some of the less popular markets without winning the Tournament – First Round Leader, Top 10, 20, Make Cut etc
In last week’s Longshots Report from the Sanderson Farms Championship, we hit it big with Will Gordon getting a share of the First Round Leader prize. He was a $91 shot to win the tournament so around $81 for First Round Leader!
Our 4 players made the weekend with our best result for Gordon and Stephan Jaeger, both coming in 30th. MJ Daffue was 61st and Davis Thompson 67th.
This week we’re in Vegas for the Shriners Children’s Open. It should be a proper birdie-fest where those that find the firm fairways should be set up for the best approaches. SG: Approach could be one of the key stats.

Kurt Kitayama
He’s the world #54 and we’re getting real value here. Went to college at UNLV so would be reasonable to think he’s played at this course several times. Has won 3 times in Asia so knows how to win if he gets near the frame. Has 4 Top 20s from his last 6 tournaments including 7th at the Italian Open a couple of weeks ago.
Nick Hardy
Had a solid 2022 season with several Top 20s across both Korn Ferry and PGA Tours. Best result was 8th at the Travelers Championship. Like Hubbard, he also tied for 5th last week, as well as leading the field last week in SG: Approach. This was his best ever PGA finish so should be full of confidence this week.
Mark Hubbard
5th last week at the Sanderson Farms after holding the 54-hole lead and was 2nd in the field for SG: Approach. In contrast, was poor off the tee last week, hitting just 43% of fairways. So any improvement with the Driver coupled with his great iron play means we could be cashing a Top 10/20 ticket this week.
Chris Gotterup
Made regular appearances last season in our Longshots. Had a big year of rankings improvement (since turning Pro) and got the business done for us at the John Deere Classic where he finished 4th at 125/1. Goes in for us this week as the setup should suit him to a “tee”.
