Souths v Bulldogs: NRL Round 5
Although Souths have lost Latrell, Taafe is an amazing back-up option at fullback. Whereas the Doggies are already running out of options to give Burton support. This shows the difference that still exists between the good teams and the weaker teams.
The Bulldogs bolstered their squad over the off-season, but Coach Barrett still does not have a clear attacking plan and as a result, his team selections are all over the place. If Averillo or Wakeham were not the option at 7, I am not sure why Flanagan spent so long in NSW Cup.
Similarly, if Barrett is picking on form, then how is Dufty still at 1 for this week, instead of giving Corey Allen a go? Barrett seems like a man that is under pressure and who is starting to make irrational coaching decisions. His terse behaviour in the press conference the other day was not a great sign.
No better game than Good Friday!
We might be the away team but let’s pack out @AccorStadium and show Souths it’s our home!

Although they look great at times, Souths are still making a ton of silly errors and Walker is still not hitting his straps. It was only their defence that won the game against the Dragons and without Mitchell, Walker needs to ensure his touches are more quality over quantity. It is a cliché, but this will only come off the back of him running more. His passing game will follow.
I think the Doggies might put up a fight here, and without Latrell they could come close to pulling off an upset.
But the Doggies spine, apart from Burton, does not instill me with enough confidence, so personally I am going to stay out of the betting on this one!
Predicted score: Souths v Bulldogs
Souths 25
Bulldogs 18
