Titans v Panthers: NRL Round 8
Although there is a lot of talk about how Brimson’s move back to 1 will free up his running game, I think it’s likely that Jayden Campbell will come in at 1 and Brimson will stay at 6.
The issue for the Titans is that they still look a shambles around the ruck, with their number 9 options limited due to poor roster management. Instead of buying Isaako, the Titans should have been on the hunt for a number 9 that was not getting first grade game-time at another club. At present, the Titans stellar forward pack is getting easily eaten up because of a lack of creativity and directness around the ruck.
Out wide, guys like Herbert provide very little in attack, whereas Marzhew is too often exposed in his defence. Although he had a poor start off a long lay off, I would be bringing Corey Thompson back as soon as possible, as well as playing McIntire and Ese’ese off the bench in place of Proctor and Lisone.
The Titans head into tomorrow night’s clash against the Panthers as undisputed underdogs but they are taking it in their stride. @BronteGildea #9News pic.twitter.com/zQNF4jNgUT

But Coach Holbrook is looking increasingly lost at present and it is not clear how they turn it around with this squad and his continued refusal to choose the best 17 players.
On the other hand, Coach Cleary looks incredibly relaxed about his team’s form. The Panthers are crushing their opponents with unbelievable line speed in defence and patience in attack. No matter who they bring into the top team from reserve grade, it is always a seamless transition and they look incredibly strong again this weekend.
Home ground advantage will not mean much here, the Panthers should be far too strong.
Predicted score: Titans v Panthers
Panthers 28
Titans 12
