Souths v Manly: NRL Round 8
Both teams lost a few additional troops last week, but it is Manly that look to have copped it worse due to continued losses in the middle. Manly head into this one without Paseka, Aloiai, Olakau’atu and Davey, which gives the Bunnies a distinct advantage in terms of projected metres made in the centre of the field.
Although Manly came back strong last week, their flimsy defence out wide was also exposed and although Souths do not have a Talakai to draw upon, the likes of Campbell Graham and Alex Johnson will fancy their chances if given room to move. Although Harper has been dropped, I still think the Koula and Saab defensive side will be put under a lot of pressure by this Souths attack.
For Souths, they continue to look unconvincing without Latrell playing, but Cody Walker had his best game of 2022 last weekend and he will be looking to build on that this weekend. The likes of Keaon, Cam Murray, C Graham and Cook continue to play good footy and Ilias is repaying the faith shown him with increasingly strong performances.

With Tommy T still a week away and Schuster unlikely after being named in the reserves this weekend, I think Souths should be too strong here on the central coast. For mine they deserve to be slightly bigger favourites than they currently are.
Predicted score: Broncos v Bulldogs
Souths 26
Manly 16
