Heading north to Townsville for our bet. Not often I would be be betting into a 2YO maiden in the north, but I can’t get this favourite (#5) as short as the market, so will have a small play. The #5 did win a recent trial by a distance, but beat nothing and there’s nothing in its figures to say it should be this short.
Jockey Lacey Morrison has great Townsville figures (31/141, +15% PoT) and on leaders is +19.55% PoT. Worth a small play.
