The Longshots Report is your guide to high-priced golfers that can earn us profits in some of the less popular markets without winning the Tournament – First Round Leader, Top 10, 20, Make Cut etc
Last week at the CJ Cup we got a collect in the Top 20 market on Cam Davis finishing 13th. Harris English was 40th and Sepp Straka came in 62nd.
This week we’re off to the Bermuda Championship and it should be a birdie-fest – wide fairways, big greens and low scores if they can hole their putts. The field is low-quality compared to most events but this is where we might unearth some gold.
This Week’s Longshots and prices (Win/Top 20)

Kevin Yu $81 / $4
Vincent Norrman $101 / $4.50
Brian Gay $126 / $5.40
Kevin Yu
Had a great season on the Korn Ferry Tour last year with several Top 5s. He’s playing with the big boys now and his last 2 starts have been excellent with 37th at the Shriners and 19th at the Sanderson Farms. Is picking up shots off the tee and any decent putting week should see him high up the leaderboard. Hopefully here.
Vincent Norrman
Like Yu, had an excellent Korn Ferry season last year. His ranking has been improving all the way through the season and he’s now ready to mix it with the big boys as well. A powerful driver of the ball, he should get plenty of birdie chances this week.
Brian Gay
Brian plays most of his golf on the Seniors Tour now. Nothing against that but his play has dropped off over recent seasons dropping outside the World Top 500. Putting that to one side, he DOES play well here. In the last 3 years he’s gone 12-1-3. They are the best course form numbers in the field. He’s $126 which you could argue either way is great value or poor value. He’s one for small stakes this week who could surprise.
