The Longshots Report is your guide to high-priced golfers that can earn us profits in some of the less popular markets without winning the Tournament – First Round Leader, Top 10, 20, Make Cut etc

Last week at the ZOZO Championship we had another Top 20 with Nakajima placing 12th on his professional debut. He was $181 to win the tournament, so a great result to finish so high up. Our other results were Kitayama (29th), Rai (36th) and Katsuragawa (53rd).

This week we’re back in the USA for the CJ Cup in South Carolina. It’s another limited field of 78 players but we have a far higher standard this week with almost all of the big names playing.

It’s being played at the Congaree Golf Club and it’s a real test! Last year it was the seventh-most difficult course of the season.

Like last week, the limited field makes the Longshot value a little harder to find as we don’t get the same big prices on the outsiders in the side markets that we like to bet in but we’ll still have value on our side.

This Week’s Longshots and prices (Win/Top 20) :bomb::bomb::bomb:

:flag-au: Cam Davis @ $81 / $3
:us: Harris English @ $91 / $3.95
:flag-at: Sepp Straka @ $91 / $3.25

Cam Davis

Cam finished the 2022 season on a great run of 10 tournaments without missing a Cut and included 6 Top 20s. After taking a couple of weeks off for the end of the season he looks to be playing into his 2022 form again. Just like that late season run, last week in Japan he was as solid as a rock. After a slow start to his opening round he shot 70-67-69-69 which was good enough for tied 29th. Even in a tougher field he could improve this week.

$81

Harris English

Harris had an extremely rough injury-affected season in 2022. After 5 months off he came back for 7 tournaments which produced 4 Missed Cut’s and a best finish of 19th at the Travelers Championship. He’s been into the new season with 3 tournaments so far, with a 9th at the Fortinet his best result. His putter has been a little cold so it will be no surprise to see him bouncing back when his putter gets warm again. That could be this week as he played here last year in the Palmetto, finishing 14th but he completely blew up on the final round shooting 76 after being in the lead at one stage, so he can perform here.

$91

Sepp Straka

Besides having one of the best names on the Tour, Straka has 2 runner-up finishes in his last 5 tournaments as well as 7th place in the Tour Championship. He had a win last season at the Honda Classic and is now up to #27 in the OWGR. He’s over the odds this week.
