Wests vs Bulldogs: NRL Round 11
Wests have suffered more injuries and will now be without Luke Brooks for a period of time. When you throw in loss of Laurie, they are missing some key players here. But they still have a decent team and playing at Leichardt, they have a good chance to give their loyal fans something to cheer about.
To’a is still doing a decent job at 1 and Madden is a handy replacement to bring in at the halves. Plus Liddle is a handy replacement to bring in at 9 for Simpkin. Meanwhile, Wests’ forward depth is looking the best it has in a while, with Tuilagi, Utoikamanu, Seyfarth and Mikaele all unable to crack the starting team.
While Wests do not have a squad bursting with superstars, they do have a deep squad and there is at least 25 players of similar quality to draw upon… which is why they always put up a decent looking team.

Over at Belmore, the loss of Barrett is playing out ugly and I’m not sure the team will be in the right head space for this match. Some players have moved on immediately, one of them being Brett Naden… who will line up against his old team this weekend, with Wests naming him on their reserves!
The interim coach, Mick Potter, has just been announced with just over 48 hours to kick off on this one, so I have some real concerns about team cohesion and morale.
Predicted score: Wests vs Bulldogs
Wests 22
Bulldogs 16
