The Longshots Report is your guide to high-priced golfers that can earn us profits in some of the less popular markets without winning the Tournament – First Round Leader, Top 10, 20, Make Cut etc

Last week in Bermuda our run of excellent longshot finishes continued with two collects in the Top 20 market. Kevin Yu ($81/$4) finished 3rd and Brian Gay ($126/$5.40) finished 11th while Vincent Norrman missed the Cut.

This week we’re off to Playa del Carmen, Mexico for the WWT Championship at Mayakoba. The players are navigating El Camaleon, which is super tight and precision is key to scoring here.

So we’re not looking for bombers but guys who can gain strokes around the green and by hitting fairways and greens.

Here’s our lovable list of Longshots (Win/Top 20)  :bomb::bomb::bomb:

:us: Adam Long $85 / $3.60
:us: Harris English $95 / $3.80
:us: Gryson Sigg $95 / $4.00
:flag-nz: Danny Lee $226 / $7.00

Adam Long

Is below average for driving distance but manages to find plenty of Top 20s through his improving iron play. Loves this track with 3 very decent results over the last 3 seasons – 2nd in 2020, 3rd in 2021 and 22nd in 2022.

$85

Harris English

We were on Harris two weeks ago at the CJ Cup and he makes our list again this week. He managed to finish 40th at the CJ where his putter found a little bit of form. He’s had a pair of 5ths at his 2 most recent starts in this tournament, so we can see him ticking a few more boxes for us.

$95

Gryson Sigg

Greyson has made 4 out of 4 cuts in this new season with 2 best finishes of 9th at the Sanderson Farms and 11th last week in Bermuda. He has 1 start here for 33rd, 12 months ago. He’s trending the right way and a high finish won’t surprise.

$95

Danny Lee

New Zealander Lee is another with a very decent record around El Camaleon. His best results in 2015 (3rd), 2019 (2nd) and 2022 (7th). Season 2022 wasn’t his best on the PGA Tour, hence the massive price this week, but we’re getting decent value to see if he can re-produce here.

$226
