Souths v Broncos: NRL Round 9
Souths beat Manly last week, but it was far from convincing considering Manly were reduced to 12 players for most of the match. With 10 minutes left Souths were only leading by 8 points and it was only through sheer fatigue from their exhausted opposition that they were able to run away with it.
As a positive, the Souths spine is starting to look a lot sharper and although his timing is still off, Walker is at least finding ways to get involved and make a difference for his team.
After a tough start to the year, Souths have now won three of their last four and this week, back at home, they will be keen to get revenge on the Broncos after their round 1 loss.
Broncos have two big outs in the form of Haas and Capewell. Although the Broncos are playing well, I think their forward pack will struggle without these two Origin stars. Haas gets through so much work, while Capewell is great at locking down the fringe and adding some mobility to this big Broncos forward pack.
Adam Reynolds been outstanding through recent weeks, has all but picked up & carried #Broncos home to last 2 wins & by far their best v Panthers.
Nice return home match up this wk v old club Souths. Probably in a mood of form to remind a few people how he’s playing? #NRL pic.twitter.com/gOiS526fXd

While the Broncos’ backline has looked much sharper in recent weeks, outside of Reynolds’ kicking game, their spine does not offer much in terms of attack. If Staggs can be somewhat contained, then I do not see the Broncos getting more than a couple of tries in this one.
Predicted score: Souths v Broncos
Souths 26
